Happy Valentine’s Day

My lovely wife cooked me a special v-day dinner and this awesome flan for dessert. Yum! Thank you, wife.

As We Were In 2010

Christmas 2010 Part 3

Christmas 2010 Part 2

Our Christmas celebration involved 8 days, 8 adults and 2 toddlers all in one house. It was great fun and great chaos! The kiddos played together. Abbie taught Ethan how to have a tea party. Ethan stayed up late and woke up early… exhausting but very fun. In addition to the children bonding, brother proposed to his girlfriend, LeAnna! We were so blessed to be a part of their special moment. Eric was super thoughtful with his proposal and I’m pretty sure we all cried… well, the girls did at least! This goes down in the books as one of the most special Christmas’ that we have had.

Christmas 2010 Part 1

Ethan and Tyrus had a fabulous time opening presents and playing together. It is so fun to watch the cousins get to know each other better.

Friends Thanksgiving 2010

Way back in December we had an awesome celebration of friendship and thankfulness at, what Nguyen named “Friends Thanks-Christmas Giving 2010 Epic Edition”. College friends drove hours and hours to come see us as only true friends would. We had a fabulous dinner together. Ethan helped to cook, bonded with the guys, and was a sweetheart through the whole thing. We love our friends!

Happy Thanksgiving

S
o many things to be thankful for this year. A healthy child who brings joy to my life everyday. A husband who is solid and loving and patient beyond belief. Family who are not only supportive but love us and want to be a part of our life. Old friends that know a little too much about us yet still call us friends.  A God who loves me more than I can understand. A God, who because of His love, gives my life purpose and meaning and hope. My prayer is that my life reflects the gratitude I feel for the immense blessings in my life.

From our family to yours, have a Happy Day of Giving Thanks!

Valentine’s Day Seafood Dinner

We decided to treat ourselves this year by preparing some seafood: steamed dungeness crabs, crawfish bread, lobster thermidor, and seafood portofino. Seafood is near and deer to my heart. Once again we ended up spending quite a while in the kitchen… but it was well worth the good eats!

Merry Christmas

Recent Sighting!  We spotted this lil’ guy shuffling around the tree and then trying to make his break for the door until he realized he couldn’t yet crawl… he was, however, quite adept at sitting up.  When asked for the whereabouts of his jiggly accomplice, the young elf let out an abrupt “Gahh!” and then proceeded to drool profusely.

Thanksgiving With Family

Georgia.  Did you know we made it to Georgia and back with a 3.5 month old?  That’s something like… a bunch of hours away.  In over 1500 miles, we lassoed a good chunk of 4 states and a sliver of Florida.  Ethan slept most of the way there and back!  That’s quite a feat in my book (a book of feats… apparently).  He’s destined for great things.  I’m sure of it.  :)

We got to spend some time with family at Janis and Marvin’s for Thanksgiving.  It was my first time at their house so i got to experience a bit of Emily’s childhood as she went from room to room reliving her past.

As always we had great food and left with some new and wonderful memories.
