Swinging At The Park

We love our house, but we are in a new neighborhood lacking well established trees for hanging baby swings. Since we are near a local park we decided to check out there swing selection. Ethan loved it! You can tell by the tongue sticking out. He giggled and laughed and had a blast. As we were leaving we were chased by a killer squirrel. Sure, he may have looked innocent enough, like he just wanted a little snack. But I could tell as he crept closer and closer that he was not as innocent as he may appear in this photo. So, we skedaddled out of there quick. No squirrel is gonna eat my baby.

*Update: We have been back to this park since these photos have been taken and have not had any other squirrel encounters.

A Day In The Life

Ethan has been adjusting pretty well to our new home. These are a few pictures of a day in the life of little Ethan Le. He starts off the day exploring the plastic bowls. We gave him his own cabinet to keep him entertained. He fills his tank with a meal of yummy yummies. He’s getting better at eating table food, but still loves him some spoon fed yogurt. He spends his afternoon cruising circles around the house in his fun little jeep walker.  To wind down his day, he watches a few minutes of The Wiggles. What a day! He’s a cutie.

Father’s Day

Nguyen enjoyed his first Father’s Day with Ethan and me. Ethan made him a homemade card and they shared some special stories before bedtime. Ethan is blessed to have a wonderful father!

Nguyen also got a new toy for Father’s Day…

a new grill!!!

Beat The Heat

I

One thing we learned very quickly about Houston... it's hot. Not the normal kind of hot, but the kind of hot that makes you feel your feet will melt to the concrete if you stand in one place too long. So, to help remedy this we tried a little water play with Ethan. We got a pool that looks like some sort of amazonian jungle tree frog that squirts water out of its head. He wasn't too wild about it at first (he was also a little tired). We weren't sure if it was the frog or the water he was more hesitant of, but it was nice to cool off a bit!

Stuck In Reverse

So, he hasn’t quite figured out how to go forward. I think he’s still fascinated that he can move himself around!

Notice the toys in the background, yet he wants to help vacuum. Glad I have a little helper around!
