Announcing Baby Nguyen
We had our first sonogram today! I am 21 weeks pregnant and this afternoon we got our first glimpse of our little baby. It was so exciting Nguyen almost got teary-eyed! Almost. We are happy to announce that come August we will be having a baby boy! Here’s a little peak of our precious child! He was being shy and didn’t want to show his cute little Nguyen Jr. face. I guess we will just have to go back for more pictures later! (No, we are not naming him Nguyen Jr.)
So I guess I can comment on my own post, right? Well, I have seen many sonogram pictures of other people, but this is the first time I am on the mommy end of the photo. Talk about change in perspective. I can see how others might not get how absolutely mind-blowing it is to see these pictures. Just knowing he is growing inside of me almost brings me to tears. And seeing the photos just takes my breath away. (The pregnancy hormones might play a small role in that also). So if you are seeing the photos and don’t feel an overwhelming burst of emotion, I understand… I’ve been there. But it is quite exciting to be on this end, and stare at these little glimpses for hours on end.

Any thought of names?
Well I am overcome with emotions!!!!! He is beautiful and I can’t even see his face! I am so blessed to be having TWO grandchildren within 6 months of each other! I am praying for health and a safe delivery of this little angel. It will be here before we know it. I know this mom and dad will BOTH be teary eyed before this whole thing is over. It is the most humbling and awesome experience to bring a life into the world. We are blessed!
@shonnie – we haven’t actually narrowed it down to one name yet but we have a few in mind. I think Emily demanded that we come up with 4 names before she agreed to even date me… jk.
We might actually ride it out until he’s born before selecting the one. But then again we may decide tomorrow.
I am so happy for you guys! I’m proud of you all and happy for Baby Nguyen as well! He’s already like his dad, not wanting to have his photo taken!
Really though, it couldn’t have happened for better people and what a great kid and man of God he’s going to be! I can’t wait to meet him, and hope I don’t corrupt him too badly…
