Face… Off
If you’re reading this, and you’ve been here before, you’ve noticed that the site looks nothing like what it did a couple of days ago… which looked nothing like it did a couple of month ago… which looked nothing like it did a few years ago.
Since this site will likely become photo-heavy, I opted to go with this clean look for a little bit faster loading time and ease of use.
Getting Your Gravatar On
A couple of people have asked… so I shall post. You may have notices that each time I comment on this blog, I get a little avatar photo tagged to the upper left of my entry. Everyone else seems to just be a “G”.
If you blog much you may notice that a lot of blogs use these little photo tags called avatars. The ones used on this site are more specifically Gravatars = Globally + Recognized + Avatar. The best thing about gravatars is that it’s independent from the specific blog/site and can be used with any gravatar enabled site. Your photo is actually tied to your email address.
If you have multiple emails addresses, I suggest you use the same email address each time you comment. First off, your email address is tied to the spam filter. Using a valid email address over time will ensure that you pass the first gate of the spam filter. Secondly, Gravatar enabled blogs like this one will check your email address to the gravatar server and pull in your avatar to display with your comment.
If you’d like, you can sign up with Gravatar by going to gravatar.com.
Vacation In The Wilderness
Nguyen and I are spending our weekend in the foothills of Missouri at a resort in the woods called Big Cedar. It’s very beautiful! I am currently sitting in front of a roaring fireplace looking out over the lake and the hills and the smoke rising from all the chimneys in the woods. Because of the arrival of the first Biggs family grandchild, my parents gave us their lodge and thus allowing Nguyen and I to have our first vacation since our honeymoon. This has been a much needed break for the both of us and we our very grateful for Mom and Dad’s generosity! Our days have consisted of sleeping late, taking long walks along the wilderness trails and catching up on some photo taking. Here’s a little peak of what we have been enjoying!
Welcoming Abigail Grace Lewis
Right now Emily and I are on our first vacation in 2 years, albeit only a mini 4-day getaway… more on that later. Now that we’re here I would like to take some time to highlight some major news.
Rich and Amie Lewis just gave birth to their first baby girl Abigail Grace Lewis. She was born on February 19th, 2009 at 1:27pm. She was a healthy weight of 7lbs-14oz. And she’s officially the most beautiful niece in the world!
I’ll post more photos later.
Baby Tyrus Dante Pinyon
So Emily and I went to visit my sister in VA almost 2 months ago. I brought back a few pictures of her and our nephew Tyrus Dante Pinyon. I’ll most likely be posting more photos later on but here are some to start things off. I know I’m quite a bit behind. I’ve got some catching up to do.
